About Us

Having a love for traditional furniture making, a solid old style cabinet makers apprenticeship and many years of experience in building restoration and property development industry, i realised that the combination of designing, being creative and project managing through the different stages is what i enjoyed and thrived on. Designing and forming the kitchen was always the part of the project that i got most pleasure from as there was more to create and more to get involved in, i decided i wanted to do something about this. The Kitchen Project started trading in 2008, and soon after opened its doors in Renfrewshire, at the outset we worked seven days a week, often through the night to establish the business. After a few years with client demand and recommendations from Glasgow we relocated to our WEE shop at 304 Crow Road Glasgow, the shop was appropriately called The WEE Kitchen Shop. 

Kitchen Options 

You can choose a beautiful kitchen from one of our selected suppliers or commission somthing quite different, being a furniture maker to trade coupled with a deep knowledge and experience in using different materials, including timber, glass, metals, polyesters, resins, stone veneers, wood veneers, recycled timbers, oils etc have provided a great base to create very specific, unique and top quality designs. 

Your Project

When you come coming to The Wee Kitchen Shop with your new project, the process will result in an end product that is uniquely your own, many customers will come to us with a concept, an idea or dream that they would like to create.

The first step is for us to build a relationship – we will meet with you on the phone, and face to face. This type of information gathering will help us find out about your project, and determine what you are looking for.

Following this, we will visit the your home if it is a remodelling or renovation, or look over your architects drawings if it is a brand new house or extension. We will get a feeling for what you like, and what you do not like, we often photograph and video the room we are about to design, once we have all the basics in place, we will provide you with a draft 3-D design proposal and a rough budget which can easily be adjusted. 

When we've had your feedback and you've settled on your wish list we will provide you with a finalised price and specification.

Once all is agreed upon, we will agree a suitable project start date, this will take into account a 3 to 6 week manufacturing time, depending on your kitchen size and detail your project it will normally take 2-3 weeks for our fitters, electricians, gas engineers, plasterers and fabricators to complete your installation.

Turn Key Service

We also offer a complete turnkey service, which includes additional trades such as supply and installation of flooring, decoration. There have been projects in the past where the existing kitchen has been too cold where  we have incorporated wall insulation, ceiling insulation and double glazing to the work schedule. We have also get involved in structural works removing load bearing walls and introducing window apertures, from time to time we will have bespoke windows stables doors etc made to measure and installed as part of the scheme of works.
